बिना वजह अब तुमसे मैं संवेदना नही दिखाऊंगी,
सच तो यह है कि तुमको मैं लाचार देख न पाऊंगी
अब समय आ गया है जब तुमको सम्मान से जीना सिखाऊंगी,
क्षमाप्रार्थी हूँ पर मैं बुढ़ापे की लाठी ना बन पाऊंगी।
एक धूमिल सी स्मृति है जब मैं उंगली थामे चलती थी,
फिर हाथ छोड़कर भी तुमने, मुझ मे विश्वास दिखाया था,
समय आ गया है जब दूर खड़ी होकर, तुममें भरोसा वही जगाऊंगी,
क्षमाप्रार्थी हूँ पर मैं बुढ़ापे की लाठी ना बन पाऊंगी।
याद है अब भी जब तुमने रंग कई दिखलाये थे,
फिर एक दिन तुमने साथ बैठकर उनका मोल बताया था,
समय आ गया है जब मैं तुमको जीवन के रंग नए दिखाऊंगी,
क्षमाप्रार्थी हूँ पर मैं बुढ़ापे की लाठी ना बन पाऊंगी।
हल्का सा कुछ याद है मुझको जब तुमने मेरे आंसू पोछे थे,
फिर एक दिन तुमने मेरा कठिनाई से द्वंद कराया था,
समय है वो जब मैं तुमको मुश्किल में हंसना सिखाऊंगी,
क्षमाप्रार्थी हूँ पर मैं बुढ़ापे की लाठी ना बन पाऊंगी।
धुंधला सा स्मरण है जब मेरा खुद से विश्वास डगमगाया था,
तब तुमने मेरा हाथ पकड़कर थोड़ा सा हड़काया था,
अब वक्त आ गया है, तुमको वैसे ही हड़काऊंगी,
क्षमाप्रार्थी हूँ पर मैं बुढ़ापे की लाठी ना बन पाऊंगी।
गलत समझना ना तुम मुझको , मैं कुछ ऐसा कर जाऊंगी,
बूढ़े हो कमज़ोर नहीं, तुमको यह एहसास कराऊंगी,
जब तुम होगे एकाकी पथ पर, नेपथ्य से साथ निभाऊंगी
क्षमाप्रार्थी हूँ पर मैं बुढ़ापे की लाठी ना बन पाऊंगी।
